CJ is a writer, director, & dad on a mission to help the world spread better messages.
His work has helped companies more than triple their revenue and has reached millions across multiple mediums including broadcast television, giant Times Square screens, and, most recently, 25% of U.S. classrooms.
As founder of Reculture, a message design and media production company, he’s advised and produced media for IPOs, Fortune 500s, presidential campaigns, and breakout startups—collaborating with iconic brands like Delta, Lululemon, MGM, Sesame Street, and the UN Foundation as well as culture-makers like Seth Godin, Ira Glass (This American Life), and Food Network’s Maneet Chauhan.
A sought-after speaker, CJ has shared at TEDx, Creative Mornings, Charity: Water, and STORY. His work has garnered attention in major media outlets, including TechCrunch, CBS, Forbes, Publisher’s Weekly, and MTV.
CJ is also the author of two books: Get Weird, a manifesto for the creatively maladjusted (Hachette, 2018), and The Forgotten Art of Being Ordinary, exploring media’s impact on our culture (BenBella/Penguin, 2023). His biggest accomplishment, however, has been co-authoring two amazing, weird kids with his wife, Kelly.
