Crush 'em...with Kindness
What if kindness was a competition? Ladies & Gentlehumans, I give you
See… a while back I was introduced to the good people of CharacterStrong, a curriculum company that provides character-based resources to schools around the world, teaching kids things like empathy, compassion, kindness, and resilience, qualities we could all use a little more of right now.
Together we produced one of the most “Gosh I sure hope this works” series I’ve ever been a part of. In essence, we partnered with my friend Alon Aguste, a former hip-hop artist-turned-teacher, whose eighth grade class wasn’t getting along with each other AT ALL. The idea? Send them on a field trip like no other and capture what happens.
Take a look at episode 1!
(Btw, this series was a collaborative effort in every way imaginable and would not have been possible without Alon, his students, John Zappin, Mike Tompkins, Mark Eshlemen, Nathan Bielski, Sophy Grigoriou, and the whole Reculture crew.)
Stay tuned next week for episode 2!
